Award Winning Horse Photographer UK

Being a member of The Guild of Photographers has been a roller coaster of emotions, a year of highs, then not wanting to take part. The fears of failure and feeling like I didn’t know what the judges expected from me then turned into a great year of success!

I proudly received The Guild’s first ever Gold Award in this genre, with a stunning portrait of Jessie. Ten months on, having being granted a further two gold awards and an image of the month title. On new years eve, I received an email to say that I had been shortlisted for Image of the Year by the panel for this prestigious award. It has taken me this long to get my head round it that out of 10,000 images five of mine have been shortlisted.

Being in the Guild has taught me that, as photographers we’re naturally very attached to our images! I was there at that precise moment I felt, and feel a part of the emotion that I have captured.
Competitions make you step back and look at the image from someone who didn’t feel or wasn’t part of the experience.
Every image I create, I know and understand how much the images mean to me and my clients. This nomination has confirmed to me that I’m creating powerful images, evoking emotions not only for my clients but a panel of Professional Photographers.
