Creating Dramatic Portraits | Portrait Photography | Isle of Man
Photography | Isle of Man
Light has always fascinated Richie and I, we both love creating mood using light and in fact both like using it in extremely differently ways.
We have developed a style we use for our work but when we shoot personal portraits we love creating pieces that are edgier.
Richie shot this collection of Will, and I love it!
Doesn’t he have the most amazing features? Those cheekbones are incredible.

We had the most fabulous time creating this collection, collaborations are the perfect chance for us all to express ourselves and try something new or refine something we have been working on.

Wedding Inspiration | Finding the perfect look for your special day | Look one
Wedding Inspiration | Wedding Photography
With the hustle and bustle of the wedding day it can be difficult to schedule time to actually get those magazine worthy images brides imagine. We wanted to show clients what could be achieved.
We’d noticed a growing trend for brides to have not only one but two beautiful dresses on their special day and to request a “changeover” of hair and makeup for the evening celebrations.
Sam sourced the stunning dresses from local boutique, Bridal House in Ramsey and the beautiful jewellery from Charles Alexander unique Crystal Valley and Nannapas ranges.
The first look was a bias cut slip dress with delicate chantilly lace by Alfred Angelo with a stunning floral crown and bouquet of seasonal summer flowers and berries, tying in with the garden colours. The makeup was kept very fresh, natural and light. The hair also, was very natural yet chic in loose, tumbling waves with braided detail.

Beauty Shoot | Zoe & Rosie
Portrait Photography | Isle of Man
It was an absolutely glorious day! We had already planned the session and knew we we're after a studio beauty shoot.
It would have been much easier creating these images in the studio and I would of had full control of the light, but it was a glorious day and would of been a shame to hide indoors, plus I do love a challenge. This also meant the whole creative team could enjoy the sun. Living on the Isle of Man you really do have to make the most of the warmer weather. That amazing feeling of it warming your skin makes me smile just thinking about it!
Our models for this shoot were sisters Zoe and Rosie. We had beautiful jewellery from Charles Alexander, hair by the extremely talented Natalie from Utopia and makeup by the wonderful Charlotte Easton.
We spent the afternoon shooting and battling the harsh and fast changing lighting conditions, but I think you will agree the results are simply beautiful.
Experimenting with light has always been one of the fascinating elements of portrait photography, I thrive to learn and always enjoy challenging myself.
